Nirvana

Catharsis is Nirvana.

Cave drawings. Parchments heavy with emotion. Journals soaked in pale ink and vivid memories. An envelope braving the world in search of another. Splashes of paint rebelling against grey walls.

Black letters on a white screen spilling from my fingertips.

  1. Nice poem. I like the image of letters spilling on the screen 🙂 Thank you for the follow of my blog – appreciate it, and wish you blessings 🙂

  2. Very insightful. Your Haiku like prose hits many emotional cues, striking at the very heart of ardent angst, when hoping to engage with others or the world-at-large in a very deeply felt sense of separation and isolation that so many people feel.

    1. I meant it to be a welcome; a musing about why I write, and why anyone does for that matter. Our hearts weigh less when we pour emotions on to paper. It was on a similar vein that I wrote the post Bleeding Ink. Catharsis keeps us sane. Thank you for taking the time to stop and comment 🙂

      1. I thought your prose was beautiful. A beautiful truth. Writers, as you say need to pour their emotions out on paper, writing for many writers is a catharsis. You wrote something that means something important. Thank you for writing it. Karen 🙂
