Ephemeral

The video pops up on Facebook – another recounting the childhood of Indian millennials, with those notebooks with scribbles on the back, water droplets falling from the covers of flavoured ice sticks and local sweetmeats eyed guiltily on the way back from school. Before even a quarter of the video plays, I skip and scroll. Is this what happens when you reach your 30s? Do you finally free yourself from melancholic nostalgia of a time long gone and find reminiscence a lame excuse for day dreaming?
