Share Your World – Week 1, 2017

The first SYW of the year.

Would you prefer to receive a unicycle, bicycle, tricycle or motorcycle? Bicycle. Unicycles have always fascinated me, I have no idea how those people manage to stay up! But seeing that it was only in my teens that I even got to learn to ride a regular bike, I don’t think I’m cut out for those. Gimme a nice non geared bicycle any day.. I love biking!

What is the one thing you would like to accomplish this year? Tough one. I have not made any hard and fast resolutions and my evil plans of world domination are supposed to be kept a secret, so.. I don’t know. Maybe become a more responsible, less insane person.

What was one of the highlights of 2016 for you? I wrote about it already in this post. But now that you mention it, I forgot to add one. One of my greatest fears of all time has been public speaking and I challenged myself to do that last year. I signed up for Model United Nations at a nearby college along with a friend. Turned out I could speak to a room full of people without looking like a complete moron (sure, my hands shook so wildly they almost called a paramedic, but that’s normal right? Right??) and I discovered that my brain and tongue are more coordinated that I’ve given them credit for. Those three days were definitely an amazing experience for me. 

Would you prefer to fly a kite or fly in a hot air balloon? Hmm, toughie. Both seem like fun, but since I got to fly a kite once, I am going to go with the hot air balloon. I do have a fear of heights though, so it’s highly possible that I’ll pass out before it even leaves the ground.

What are you grateful from last week and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I am definitely grateful for a temp job I landed at a local hospital. I was asked to fill in for the doctors who had gone on vacation. The money came handy. For the next week, I don’t have any plans at the moment. So maybe I’ll finally assemble those weapons of mass destruction. I wonder where I left the manual.
