Forbidden Light

The cleaning lady at the hostel where I stayed at college had two children, a boy and a girl. Both attended school during the day and came around in the evenings, sometimes helping her out or else playing or studying till it was time to go home. One night the power went out and the generator could light up only the lunch hall. As I walked by, I noticed the two of them sitting just outside in the main hall, reluctant to go inside, opting to read their textbooks in the shadows instead.

  1. Very effective visual composition. Yes, the edge of knowledge and with it freedom of choice. Learning should always be a right and the conditions of learning should always be fairly shared.
