Faith

I was posted as an intern in the department of pediatrics when the 9 month old infant got admitted in Intensive Care with acute renal failure. She was comatose at admission, and dialysis was soon under way. It was heart breaking to see her mother do the only thing she could – press a small rosary into the child’s limp hand before leaving the room, crying. That moment spoke louder than a million sermons and I could not help hoping that the little cross would help her even as we struggled to.
